What is Lyme Disease Diagnosis Treatment

Lyme disease is a contagious disease that affects many organs in the body, caused by spirochaete known as Borreliaburgdorferi. The bacteria are transmitted to the human body by an infected tick. Lyme disease is treated with appropriate antibiotics and for 10-21 days. Response to treatment in early stages of the disease is very good. Preventive treatment includes appropriate clothing, insect repellent, finding and removing ticks on the skin, and vaccination of populations in the affected area.
